Job summary

Intellian Technologies is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across our Lake Forest-based manufacturing facility. You will drive compliance with OSHA and Cal/OSHA, manage safety training, incident investigations, and hazard controls in a high‑tech manufacturing environment including cleanrooms and RF testing.

Job description

We are hiring an EHS Manager to lead and manage Environmental, Health, and Safety programs for our satellite antenna manufacturing facility. This is a hands‑on role supporting a manufacturing environment that includes cleanrooms, RF testing, specialized assembly workflows, and manufacturing operations.

The EHS Manager will be responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant workplace, identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, managing safety programs and training, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

EHS Program Management & Compliance

• Lead and manage the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives, ensuring compliance with applicable OSHA, Cal/OSHA, environmental, and workplace safety regulations.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and periodically review EHS policies, procedures, and regulatory programs applicable to the company’s operations.
• Maintain required EHS documentation, records, permits, reports, and regulatory filings to support compliance, audits, and inspections.
• Monitor regulatory and industry developments and recommend updates to EHS programs and practices as needed.
• Conduct routine workplace inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments across office, warehouse, manufacturing, cleanroom, RF testing, and other specialized work areas.
• Identify workplace hazards and partner with managers and employees to implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide guidance regarding safe work practices, PPE, hazard controls, and applicable EHS requirements.
• Partner with Facilities, Manufacturing, and other departments to integrate EHS requirements into facility projects, equipment installations, process changes, and daily operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for workplace injuries and illnesses, including coordinating immediate response, directing employees to appropriate medical care, completing incident reporting and documentation, and coordinating with Human Resources on workers’ compensation matters.
• Investigate workplace injuries, illnesses, and near misses; identify root causes; and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Complete and maintain required OSHA injury and illness records and reports, including OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 documentation, as applicable.
• Partner with Human Resources on workers’ compensation matters and other employee safety concerns requiring administrative, compliance, leave, benefits, or accommodation support.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver EHS training programs, including new hire safety training, regulatory training, and job‑specific safety training.
• Maintain required training records and ensure employees receive applicable EHS training in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain emergency preparedness and response procedures and coordinate applicable drills and training.
• Promote employee awareness and engagement in workplace safety and encourage proactive reporting of hazards, near misses, and safety concerns.

Audits & Continuous Improvement

• Support regulatory inspections, internal and external audits, and other EHS compliance reviews.
• Monitor safety trends, incidents, near misses, and other EHS metrics and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Evaluate EHS programs and practices and implement improvements to strengthen the company’s safety culture and compliance posture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA and Cal/OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
• Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies, programs, and procedures.
• Experience conducting workplace safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
• Experience developing and delivering employee safety training.
• Strong understanding of workplace hazard identification, risk assessment, and corrective action processes.
• Experience maintaining EHS records, documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and responsibilities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in aerospace, defense, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing.
• Experience supporting cleanroom, RF testing, burn‑in chamber, or other specialized manufacturing/testing environments.
• Experience with Cal/OSHA-required programs and California workplace safety requirements.
• Experience with environmental compliance and permitting requirements applicable to manufacturing operations.
• Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or equivalent.
• Experience with OSHA/Cal‑OSHA inspections, audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience implementing safety management systems or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience using an HRIS or EHS management system to maintain safety records, training, and compliance documentation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout a large manufacturing facility for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Comfortable working around machinery, manufacturing equipment, and specialized testing equipment.
• Comfortable working in cleanroom or controlled environments.
• May be required to wear PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respiratory protection, and cleanroom attire, as applicable.
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders, and access equipment or work areas as needed for inspections and safety assessments.
• Comfortable working in areas with elevated temperatures, including areas near burn‑in chambers, with appropriate protective equipment.
• May be exposed to RF testing environments and must follow all applicable safety procedures.
• Ability to respond to workplace incidents and safety concerns as needed, including during early‑morning or extended manufacturing operations.
