Job description

Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Lead

Meta is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Lead to join our Data Center Facility Operations team. Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our suite of products operates to meet the demands of our customers. The EHS Lead will work with the global EHS team and local data center site management to develop and implement a Proven experience acting as a thought leader in the area of EHS program to keep all data center employees and all Meta partners safe while working at our facilities and ensure compliance with our EHS standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver and track all necessary health and safety training for onsite employees and contingent workers and maintain accurate training records.
  2. Identify and ensure compliance with all local, state, federal and company health, safety and environmental policies, including tracking all necessary records and documentation.
  3. Provide functional direction to contracted services.
  4. Establish and grow meaningful cross-functional relationships with all site teams to gain alignment on key priorities.
  5. Partner with a diverse range of vendors to uphold EHS requirements on site.
  6. Assist in the development and implementation of organization wide EHS standards and guidelines.
  7. Develop site-based plans for the implementation and on-going management of global EHS standards.
  8. Build and maintain a site safety environment that engages and involves site leadership and site team members to be active participants.
  9. Manage activities to support day-to-day EHS operations and partner with relevant EHS professionals involved in construction activities to ensure alignment and segregation of responsibilities, as appropriate.
  10. Actively support in incident investigations, root cause analyses and injury case management.
  11. Maintain operational safety programs for the team (electrical glove exchange, fall protection inspections etc.).
  12. Review site work procedures to assign risk levels and review risk mitigation plans.
  13. Participate in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and make health, safety and environmental recommendations accordingly.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. 7+ years experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in safety or health sciences, or related discipline and 3+ years’ experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field in lieu of 7+ years’ experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field.
  3. Experience in program development, management, and execution.
  4. Experience in leading or managing incident investigation and mitigation.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. 10+ years of experience working in the Environmental, Health and Safety field.
  2. Experience working in a mission critical environment.
  3. Experience with National Fire Protection Association 70E, management of federal regulations and/or environmental permitting processes.
  4. Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) certifications from Board of Certified Safety Professional (BCSP) or equivalent international agency.

Compensation: $110,000/year to $156,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits.

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
