Job summary

MacLean-Fogg (Mallard) is hiring an EHS Engineer at our Sterling, Illinois facility. You will be a key member of MacLean-Fogg’s EHS team and supports the execution of our overall safety strategy and goals.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the design and implementation of world class EHS systems as we work towards Mission Zero. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in EHS within manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ISO-14001/ISO-45001 and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce EHS policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform risk assessments and hazard analyses for safety and environmental risks.
  • Conduct safety audits and facility inspections.
  • Provide training on EHS protocols and emergency response.
  • Maintain environmental programs including waste management and pollution control.
  • Investigate accidents and determine root causes with corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and related regulations.
  • Maintain EHS records and reports for internal and external use.

  • Pay: $65,000 - $85,000

What You'll Do As An EHS Engineer
  • Develop and enforce EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations of ISO-14001/ISO-45001 certification pertaining to company operations.
  • Perform regular risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety and environmental hazards.
  • Conduct routine safety audits and facility inspections to monitor compliance and detect potential hazards.
  • Provide training to employees on EHS protocols, safety procedures, and emergency response.
  • Develop and maintain environmental programs, including waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure the organization complies with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Environmental Programs: Develop and maintain environmental programs, including waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports and compliance audits.
  • Maintains OSHA logs, EHS records, and reporting for internal and external use.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.
