Job summary

Tract is seeking an EH&S Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety programs across assigned Texas project sites, focusing on construction activities and contractor management.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of post-education EHS experience in commercial/industrial land development and will work in the field to ensure regulatory compliance and safety excellence.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of progressive EHS experience on construction, heavy civil, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing EHS programs on active construction sites, including inspections and incident investigations.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onsite EHS representative for Texas projects and promote zero-incident culture.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with EHS Manual and OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
  • Review contractor HASP/JHA to ensure alignment with project scope and expectations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits focusing on high‑risk activities.
  • Lead investigations of incidents and implement corrective actions with contractors.

As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled EH&S Manager who possesses expertise in managing safety for large-scale civil infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will join our growing team and facilitate successful developments throughout the United States. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of post-education experience in environmental health and safety management of commercial/industrial land development projects.

Position Overview:

The EHS Advisor is responsible for implementing and sustaining Tract’s environmental, health, and safety programs at assigned project sites in Texas, with a focus on construction activities and contractor management. This role works day-to-day in the field to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Tract’s EHS Manual.

  • Serve as the primary onsite EHS representative for Tract at assigned Texas project sites, championing Tract’s zero-incident culture
  • Implement and monitor compliance with Tract’s EHS Manual and applicable OSHA, EPA, and state/local regulations
  • Review and provide feedback on contractor Site‑Specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to ensure alignment with Tract expectations and project scope
  • Conduct regular site inspections and documented audits focused on high-risk activities (earthwork, deep excavations, mobile equipment, cranes/lifting, work at height, electrical, confined space, etc.)
  • Track and drive closure of EHS observations, non‑conformances, and corrective actions with contractors and Tract field teams
  • Lead or support investigations of incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive action plans
  • Ensure timely incident reporting and case management updates in accordance with Tract’s EHS procedures
  • Facilitate and/or support daily and weekly safety meetings (pre‑task plans, toolbox talks, stand‑downs) and communicate lessons learned across the site
  • Support environmental compliance for construction activities (e.g., stormwater controls, waste management, spill prevention) and elevate issues as needed
  • Partner with Construction, Engineering, Operations, and the broader EHS team to identify high-energy hazards early in planning and implement effective controls
  • Deliver or coordinate EHS training and onboarding for contractors and Tract personnel on Tract standards, hazard recognition, and high-energy control expectations
  • Contribute EHS data and insights (leading/lagging indicators, trends, observations) to support reporting and continuous improvement across the EHS team and project leadership
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, health sciences, engineering, construction management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in environmental, health, and safety roles supporting construction, heavy civil, industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • Hands‑on experience implementing EHS programs on active construction sites, including conducting field inspections, developing or reviewing JHAs, and supporting incident investigations
  • Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and relevant environmental requirements (e.g., stormwater, waste, spill prevention)
  • Experience supporting or managing contractor EHS performance, including plan reviews, audits, and corrective action follow‑up
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with construction managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and EHS professionals on fast-paced projects
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in data center, heavy civil, or large-scale industrial infrastructure projects
  • Professional certifications such as CHST, CSP, OHST, COSS, or equivalent
  • Experience with high-energy hazard management frameworks or serious‑injury/fatality (SIF/PSIF) prevention programs

Location:

This position is full-time, on‑site in Texas with occasional travel to our headquarters in Denver, Colorado.

Expected Salary Range:

$105,000-$125,000 Base Salary + Discretionary Bonus
