Job summary

Trane Technologies offers a 12-week summer internship for students pursuing a BS/BA in safety, engineering, or related fields. You will work on Safety Management Systems, lean principles, and environmental compliance while engaging with senior leaders.

Interns gain exposure to manufacturing processes, cross-functional teams, and leadership development opportunities. This on-site program includes a base hourly wage and benefits aligned with early career roles.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS/BA in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Science and Environmental Engineering, Safety Management, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, or Occupational Risk and Safety Science with GPA ≥ 3.0 and Junior/Senior status.
• Strong computer skills in Excel, MS Office, Outlook-Teams, One Note and SharePoint.
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

What You Will Do

Our 12-week summer internship opportunity offers candidates working toward their Bachelor's in selected disciplines exposure to variety assignments which could include exposure to a variety of assignments and experiences which could include: Safety Management Systems, Standard Work, Policies and Procedures, Lean Principles, Risk Assessment, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomic Assessment, Environmental Compliance, Sustainability, and Training. Interns will also gain exposure to a variety of manufacturing processes and interact with layers of leadership within the organization.

• Pursuing a BS/BA in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Science and Environmental Engineering, Safety Management, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, or Occupational Risk and Safety Science with a cumulative overall GPA at or above 3.0 and with Junior/Senior status.


• Excellent computer skills in Excel, MS Office, Outlook-Teams, One Note and SharePoint.


• Demonstrated leadership skills such as campus organizations, sports team captain, resident advisor, or exceptional leadership of work projects.


• U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
