Job summary

Job description

The Facilities EHS Specialist will be a part of the Facilities EHS team. Perform technical writing, data analysis, record keeping, and EHS administrative duties for all Facilities sections in support of the manufacturing of Skorpios semi-conductors. In this role, you will focus on the following:

Environmental, Health, and Safety Compliance:

  • Administer all Facilities and EHS records, permits, and associated legal documentation to ensure prompt access and authorized distribution, including subsequent tracking and retrieval
  • Create and update EHS policies and procedures as assigned
  • Provide copies of records to consultants and regulatory agencies in support of EHS Leader
  • Review, analyze, and manage all records submitted to agencies to demonstrate compliance
  • Centralize other controlled documentation for the Facilities Department
  • Develop/maintain databases; streamline Facilities/EHS documentation/reporting systems
  • Create generic technical reporting templates; distribute key projects & objectives performance.
  • Maintain records vault and receive and store compliance records that demonstrate permit compliance
  • Prepare and analyze various monthly environmental compliance reports, and participate in Compliance and EHS Audits
  • Provide technical support for departments, including financial reports and engineering/operations reports, including formats
  • Manage first aid and safety supplies for the facility
  • Assist with EHS Training programs as assigned by the Facilities Director
  • Coordinate meetings and other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director

Emergency Preparedness and Response

  • Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) responses and training
  • Maintain ERT equipment
  • Assist with coordinating ERT training and evacuation drills
  • Assist with documenting and recording the ERT events
Requirements
  • Training in Environmental Sciences and/or Safety Systems.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written, and organizational skills, and effective interfacing with all internal departments and external contacts.
  • Advanced PC operating skills (Word, Excel, MS Projects, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Competencies

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced pace team-oriented environment
  • Experience in a manufacturing support industry
  • Ability to make and meet commitments and to deliver on what is promised.
  • Experience within the semiconductor industry and a team leadership is a plus
  • Ability to remain focused on solutions; open and flexible even when under pressure.
  • Ability to work together with your colleagues in a team environment to continually improve all Facility Systems performance and efficiency.
