Job summary

Whitmore Manufacturing, LLC seeks an Environmental, Health and Safety Site Coordinator to lead the EHS program for our Rockwall, TX facility. The role focuses on OSHA compliance, risk reduction, incident investigations, and continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.

You will coordinate training, track KPIs, manage regulatory programs (OSHA, EPA), and work with maintenance and operations to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
  • Advanced EHS certification preferred (CSP, CIH, CHMM, QEP, CEA, REM, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, training, mentoring and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of EHS regulations, policies, procedures and compliance programs.
  • Experience with life safety codes, HAZOP, industrial hygiene and occupational health and safety principles.
  • Strong project management, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS-related software.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and make sound decisions with effective communication.
  • Hands-on approach to managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with employees at all levels and maintain high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Engage employees to follow environmental, health, safety, and security policies and programs.
  • Anticipate, identify, evaluate, and reduce workplace hazards through risk assessment.
  • Ensure OSHA, DOT, and HAZWOPER training is completed and documented.
  • Track EHS KPIs and implement recommendations to address priorities.
  • Partner with teams to complete incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Audit and implement programs to support regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, permitting, etc.).
  • Support chemical and hazardous materials management programs including PSM.
  • Conduct facility and production inspections for OSHA, EPA and fire code compliance.
  • Coordinate sprinkler and fire alarm inspections with Maintenance.
  • Maintain plant PPE and fire protection equipment.
  • Provide emergency response support as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

Position Purpose:

Provide oversight of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs for the Specialized Reliability Solutions business segment. Monitor and maintain activities that ensure a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulations. Promote employee awareness, reduce workplace risks, and drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage employees to understand and follow environmental, health, safety, and security policies and programs.

  • Coordinate with the Maintenance team to ensure required sprinkler and fire alarm inspections are completed.
  • Maintain plant PPE and fire protection equipment.
  • Provide emergency response support as needed.
