Overview
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator oversees all aspects of environmental, health, and safety compliance within the organization, which operates in multiple states. This position ensures full adherence to Mine Safety Health Administration (MSHA), Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Environmental Protection Agency regulations; develops and implements safety programs; manages audits; and promotes a safety‑first culture across all company operations.

Role And Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret changes to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain all necessary permits, licenses, and reporting obligations.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies during inspections, audits, and investigations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct regular training and refresher sessions for new, existing employees, and contractors on regulatory and company safety requirements.
• Develop and maintain a budget for EHS activities.
• Maintain training records for new hires and task training.
• Lead safety talks, job‑site safety analyses, and emergency drills.
• Investigate incidents, near‑misses, and property damage to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field (preferred).
• OSHA 30 certification.
• First Aid/CPR certification (preferred).
• MSHA Part 46/48 Trainer certification (preferred).
