Job summary

ERM is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Associate Manager to support a medical device manufacturing facility in Bartlett, TN. This field-based, part-time role (16 hours/week) focuses on safety compliance, program development, and training to protect employee health and safety.

You will oversee EHS management, environmental compliance, audits, incident investigations, and regulatory alignment with ISO 14001, OSHA standards, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Advanced Certification (CSP, ASP, CIH) preferred.
• Working knowledge of federal, state and local health and environmental laws.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with EHS policy and compliance issues.
• Strong organizational, training and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Office Suite.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring safety compliance with applicable regulations and existing company standards and contributing to an environment where employee health and safety are paramount. This is a part-time (16 hours per week), limited-term role with a duration of 6 months, and the possibility of renewal.**RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Oversee occupational health and safety matters related to facility personnel.* Develop and maintain a systematic occupational health and safety management program to facilitate identification of occupational health and safety hazards; utilization of physical safeguards and employee personal protective equipment to control such hazards; training of employees in good health and safety management practices; investigation of accidents and occupational injuries and illnesses; and compliance with all applicable health and safety legislation.* Evaluates deficiencies; establishes and implements written policies and procedures; audits to assess and ensure compliance with policies and procedures; and provides requisite training.* Manages general compliance matters and projects as necessary, assistance to ensure compliance with relevant policies, and other federal laws relating to health and safety (e.g. transportation of hazardous materials).* Oversee environmental matters related to facilities and products.
