Job description

Hepaco, a Clean Harbors company, in Fairburn, GA, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at our customer sites. Vehicles operated include vacuum trucks, Cusco's, guzzlers, and roll-offs. This role involves driving and non-driving duties on and off customer sites related to hazardous waste clean-up.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL AND BE ON CALL
  • Ensure health and safety compliance by following all safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed in a team environment.
  • Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Perform manual labor on-site to meet customer needs.
  • Properly placard vehicles to meet company and DOT requirements.
  • Maintain daily logs, timesheets, and reports.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Operate vehicles safely in accordance with DOT and other regulations.
  • Adhere to company environmental, health, safety, and operational guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
  • Participate in site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials handling.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL AND BE ON CALL
  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Ability to use mobile devices.
  • Physical capability to perform job functions.
  • Successfully pass background checks, drug tests, and physical exams as required.
  • Meet OSHA respiratory standards if respirators are needed.
  • Commercial driver experience.
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
  • Previous Hazmat experience.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission.
  • Previous manual labor experience.
