This position oversees the Permitting Section by managing engineering staff, reviewing technical work, and ensuring proper interpretation of environmental regulations. You will support consistent, accurate permitting decisions that help protect waterways and wetlands. As an Environmental Group Manager, you will perform the following duties:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position requires travel
- You will have the option to work from one of the following headquarters offices:
- Northeast Regional Office - 2 Public Square, Wilkes Barre, PA 18701
- Scranton District Office - 321 Biden Street, Suite 300, Scranton, PA 18503
- Pottsville District Mining Office - 5 West Laurel Blvd, Pottsville, PA 17901
- Bethlehem District Office - 4530 Bath Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18017
- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. - Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $78,925.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in the biological, physical, or environmental sciences, engineering, or in a field closely related to environmental protection or regulation; and five years of professional environmental protection experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Conditions of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license.
- This position requires possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.

- The promotion without examination requirements are issued in accordance with merit system employment regulations.
- Meritorious service is defined as (a) the absence of any discipline above the level of written reprimand during the 12 months preceding the closing date of the posting, and (b) the last regular or probationary performance evaluation showing an overall rating of satisfactory or higher.
