Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Geologist or Environmental Scientist Intern to join the Raleigh or Cary, NC team for Summer 2027. The role offers exposure to environmental remediation and restoration projects within a consulting setting, emphasizing mentoring, technical support, and professional growth.

The internship provides work across field and office tasks with potential for full-time opportunities after graduation. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS

Qualifications

Pursuing a BS Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, programming skills required/preferred.
Strong MS Office skills required; AutoCAD, GIS and programming skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide field and office support for site monitoring and investigation activities (soil, water, vapor).
Assist remediation system operation at permitted facilities.
Support task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, QA/QC reviews, cost estimates, health & safety plan preparation, report writing, and regulatory file reviews.
Contribute to proposal support, project scheduling and cost estimation efforts.
Engage in office work including project strategy development and scheduling.
