Job summary

AECOM seeks an Environmental Geologist to support environmental investigation, remediation, and compliance projects across the Southwest, with a preference for candidates in New Mexico. The role involves site characterization, field investigations, data interpretation, and regulatory support, offering both field and office-based work with multidisciplinary collaboration.

Ideal candidates will have a geology-related bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience; a master’s degree and PG licensing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field and 4+ years of environmental consulting or geology experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred (Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science).
  • Professional Geologist (PG) license or ability to obtain licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, and geological evaluations.
  • Interpret geological, hydrogeological, and environmental data for remediation efforts.
  • Prepare technical reports, work plans, sampling plans, and regulatory submissions.
  • Assist with remediation system design, monitoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate field activities, subcontractors, laboratories, and data management.
  • Support environmental permitting and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver environmental solutions.
