Job summary

Allen Engineering and Science, Inc. is seeking an entry- to mid-level Geologist to support multi-media environmental investigation, remediation, transactional due diligence and monitoring projects.

This role will work alongside project managers, engineers, scientists, and field teams to collect and evaluate environmental data and help prepare accurate, high-quality project deliverables. The ideal candidate is a dependable, ambitious, motivated, safety-minded professional who enjoys a mix of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology from an accredited college or university.
• Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification.
• Up to 8 years of geology, environmental consulting, or field investigation experience.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail.
• Ability to work independently in the field and with multidisciplinary teams.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform soil and groundwater sampling, well installation oversight, and long-term monitoring.
• Support remedial investigations and site characterization initiatives.
• Collect and interpret environmental and geologic data for planning and reporting.
• QA/QC review of field and lab data to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare field notes, tables, figures, and sections of technical reports.
• Coordinate with project teams, labs, and clients to ensure safe field execution.
• Support project scheduling, budgeting, proposal preparation as experience develops.
• Follow applicable environmental regulations and company health and safety procedures.
• Assist with other project management activities as needed.
