Job summary

EnSafe is seeking a Staff Geologist, Engineer, or Scientist to join our Long Beach/Los Angeles, California team. The role focuses on environmental site assessments and field investigations within a dynamic, supportive environment.

As a member of EnSafe, you will engage in professional growth, collaborate across teams, and contribute to projects in environmental consulting, health and safety, and related technologies. Occasional travel and weekend work are expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Geology, Engineering, or other Science.
• 0-2 years of experience (internships helpful).
• Professional registration, GID, geotechnical, and/or geophysics experience a plus.
• Preferred: EIT, PE, PG, and ability to obtain PE/PG license in other states.
• Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Regional travel likely.
• Occasional weekend work is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Phase I/II environmental site assessments
• Prepare work plans
• Conduct site investigation activities (soil, groundwater, surface water, indoor air, vapor intrusion, soil gas, drinking water, building materials)
• Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists (data collection for permitting/registration; regulatory compliance evaluation; preparation of plans and reports)
• Field documentation
• Assisting in authoring technical reports

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

• Perform Phase I/II environmental site assessments

• Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration; regulatory compliance evaluation and assessment; and preparation of plans and reports.
• Field documentation
• Assisting in authoring technical reports

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Minimum Skills and Requirements:

• Requires a minimum of a BS (MS preferred) in Geology, Engineering, or other Science.
• 0-2 years of experience (previous internships are helpful)
• Professional registration, certification, GID, geotechnical, and/or geophysics experience are a plus.
• Preferred: EIT, PE, PG, and the ability to obtain a PE/PG license in other states.
• Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Regional travel likely
• Occasional weekend work is required.
