Job summary

Global-Diving- is seeking a Marine Environmental Technician for a seasonal, hourly position in Neah Bay, WA. The role requires construction or maritime experience and reports to Environmental Operations Supervisor. Duties include vessel operation, equipment use, welding, oil spill response, and deployment of sorbents and booms.

Preferred candidates may have TWIC, passport, HAZWOPER, and related certifications. Must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and available for 24/7 emergency needs.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver license, car insurance, and driving record in past 3 years.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
  • Obtainable TWIC card required.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, etc.).
  • Able to lift 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Available for 24/7 project or emergency response needs.

Responsibilities

  • Operate small vessels.
  • Operate skilled equipment (forklift, pumps, hand tools, heavy equipment).
  • Welding and cutting.
  • Oil spill response.
  • Deploy, retrieve and process sorbent materials.
  • Deploy and retrieve booms; perform maintenance on booms and fenders.
  • Drive/position company vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Environmental Field Technician(Temporary)

Temporary Manual Labor Neah Bay, WA, US

We are accepting applications for Marine Environmental Technicians. The successful candidate must have prior construction or maritime experience. This person will report to the company’s Environmental Operations Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Small vessel operation;
  • Skilled equipment operations include but are not limited to forklift, pump operations, hand tools (Hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and gas-powered), and heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, and backhoes).
  • Welding and cutting;
  • Oil Spill response;
  • Deploying, retrieval, and processing of sorbent materials;
  • Boom deployment and retrieval;
  • Boom and fender maintenance;
  • Driving/positioning company vehicles;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • All employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid driver license, valid car insurance, and submit an acceptable driving record for the past three years
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC Card
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions; rain, sleet, storm, snow, heat, etc.
  • Ability to liftup to 50lbs frequently; up to 75lbs occasionally
  • 24hour and 7 days a week availability based upon project or emergency response needs

Preferred Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience in the maritime industry or construction industry
  • First/Aid CPR
  • HAZWOPER
  • Current Passport
  • Boaters Card (Washington state boater’s card)
  • USCG License
  • TWIC

This is a seasonal, non-exempt, hourly position. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
