Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants (CEC) is seeking an Environmental Technician for our Athens, PA office. You will participate in a variety of projects, performing on-site inspections of waterlines and pipelines, and aiding in environmental compliance tasks under project manager supervision.

You will observe, document, and report findings, compile daily and weekly reports with photos, and may assist with sampling and survey activities as needed.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of technician/inspection experience.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to drive a pickup truck.
• Ability to work independently outdoors in varying weather conditions with safety policies.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and good communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as a team player, take direction, and interact well with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site inspections of temporary waterlines, natural gas pipelines, and other projects.
• Observe, record, and report observations to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and proper installation of erosion control devices.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and weekly reports with photographs.
• Assist with environmental sampling, infiltration testing, and survey stakeouts as needed.
