Job summary

Hepaco, A Clean Harbors Company in Allentown, PA is seeking an Environmental Field Laborer to join our safety-conscious team. This role performs hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials in field settings.

You will operate equipment, wear PPE, and work in varying weather conditions while supporting field sampling and emergency response as needed.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to perform physical functions per Key Responsibilities.
• On-call emergency response, may require weekends/holidays.
• Background check, drug test, and medical evaluation as required by position.
• Respiratory protection compliance per OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow Health and Safety policies and work safely at all times.
• Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting and pulling heavy objects.
• Operate light and heavy equipment and use various hand tools and powered tools.
• Wear and use PPE correctly, including respirators and protective gear.
• Work in diverse temperatures and weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Possess exposure awareness to potentially hazardous substances.
• Climb ladders/scaffolding and access trucks, tanks and containers.
• Support field sampling activities and calibration of meters.
• Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis.
