Job description

A ER/Field Technician at SET Environmental is responsible for:

  1. Ensuring the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by adhering to SET safety policies and procedures, including identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards.
  2. Participating actively on crews during scheduled and emergency response projects.
  3. Assisting in loading equipment and supplies for project needs.
  4. Exerting moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  5. Working in various weather conditions.
  6. Supporting environmental projects such as, but not limited to:
    • Confined Space Entry (CSE)
    • Environmental remediation
    • Waterway response
    • Hazardous materials cleanup
  7. Performing other miscellaneous duties as necessary.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Must be over 21 years old.
  3. 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain it.
  4. Flexibility to adapt to changes in work schedule and availability for on-call duties.
  5. Basic computer skills.
  6. Ability to perform physical labor under the direction of crew leads.
  7. Willingness to respond to out-of-town projects as needed.
  8. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
  9. Industry/construction experience is preferred but not required.
  10. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record that meets SET insurance requirements.
