Job summary

Intertek is seeking Environmental Technician Interns to join the PSI team in Miami/South Florida. The interns will support asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold surveys, ESAs, phase II investigations, and field data collection while traveling up to 75% of the time.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and enrollment in an environmental science-related degree, with strong communication skills. The position offers hands-on experience in environmental and industrial hygiene consulting,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Pursuing degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable driving record are required.
• Travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Asbestos/Lead-Based Paint/Mold Surveys
• Assist with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
• Assist with Phase II/Subsurface Investigations
• Assist with Remedial Action Site Activities
• Assist with installation and maintenance of environmental monitoring equipment
• Assist with GPS and GIS field data collection using Trimble units
• Assist with documenting field activities and site conditions
• Assist with equipment setup and calibration
