Job summary

Clean Harbors in Detroit, MI is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to plan, lead, and coordinate the daily service line crew. You will ensure safe operation of equipment, maintain documentation, and drive site efficiency.

The role requires attending a two-week out-of-state Academy training. Travel up to 2–4 nights per month and on-call emergency response are part of duties. Competitive hourly pay and strong benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental field service operations.
• Willing to travel overnight 2–4 nights per month.
• On-call for emergency response situations.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Able to pass background check, drug test, and physical as required.
• Able to work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Read work orders and ensure all required equipment is available and operational prior to starting jobs.
• Inspect equipment and general work area prior to starting any job.
• Correct deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, lost productivity or harm to equipment or that are inconsistent with client\'s requirements.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment as required.
• Complete all paperwork including service receipts and submit to management.
• Train Technicians I and II in equipment operation and service line processes.
• Operate all necessary equipment in service line safely and per procedures.
• Provide industrial services using appropriate techniques including handwork or manual work per regulations.
• Maintain cleaning and housekeeping in work areas.
