Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Scientist to participate in environmental field surveys, reporting, and permitting support for clients in renewable energy, electric transmission, pipelines, and transportation. You will assist in environmental impact analyses, wetland and vegetation assessments, and endangered species surveys in Texas and across the Gulf Coast.

Field and office work with extensive travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong MS Office skills and written communication abilities are essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in an environmental discipline with field surveys experience is required.
• Comfort with computers and GPS survey equipment such as Trimble is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Wetland and stream delineation and assessment.
• Vegetation inventories and monitoring and wildlife habitat assessments.
• Environmental permit applications and data management for client/regulatory review.
• Prepare portions of written reports, tables, and maps for clients and regulators.
