Onterris in Roanoke, Virginia, seeks an Environmental Field Project Manager - Stack to lead field testing operations, coordinate with plant and regulatory contacts, and drive safety and quality on site.

You will travel up to 75% for multi-week projects, bring 2+ years of stack testing experience, and work independently to deliver reliable results while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years minimum of stack testing experience; QSTI Credentials a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 75% for multi‑week projects.
• Intermediate knowledge of applicable Federal, State and Local regulations.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Capability to pass background checks and initial and random drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical certification and OSHA Respiratory Protection Medical Evaluation.
• Flexibility is a must as the position may require weekend travel or work for a few projects during the year.
• Transferable experience: laborer, construction, industrial maintenance, mechanical, laboratory, environmental, field science, etc.

• Manage logistics of the project resources by organizing resources with the logistics manager and office managers prior to the field test
• Manage the onsite schedule and coordinate with the client plant contacts and regulatory contacts concerning scope changes
• Manage all daily field operational and safety aspects of the site‑specific stack programs.
• Responsible for data review and field quality control
• Ensure the field test team is staffed appropriately for all tasks and lead, train and mentor field team personnel

A Day in the Life

As an Environmental Field Project Manager - Stack, you’ll be responsible for acting as the field management for the test team, plant contacts, regulatory contacts. You’ll need at least 2+ years of experience of source testing and welcome the opportunity to make an impact from day one.

The compensation range for this role is $27hr to $38hr.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

• Ability to work in outdoor industrial settings, including climbing to and working on elevated platforms (50ft - 300ft) in accordance with OSHA/ANSIandother aplicable safety standards

• Often works outdoors and may be exposed to hot and cold environments and extreme weather conditions, including sunlit, rainy and windy conditions
