Job summary

Midwest Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Project Supervisor to lead hazardous waste cleanup, site remediation, and decontamination projects. You will direct Environmental Service Technicians, ensure safety, and maintain regulatory compliance on projects conducted at client sites.

The role includes coordinating staff, conducting pre-job reviews, managing schedules, overseeing equipment, and driving strong customer relations while adhering to OSHA and DOT standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in waste management or manufacturing preferred.
• CDL Class A license with tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, background check, and ongoing compliance during employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff assignments and work schedules for projects.
• Conduct pre-job site walks and project reviews.
• Lead and supervise assigned personnel to ensure safe and effective work.
• Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety policies.
• Maintain positive customer relationships on job sites.
• Perform industrial cleaning of hazardous and non-hazardous materials using high-pressure water blasting or vacuuming.
• Wear PPE and ensure proper use of safety equipment.
• Complete OSHA documentation and JSAs prior to project start.
• Transport materials and equipment to project sites.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout and confined space procedures.
• Meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Work in confined spaces and all weather conditions.
• Perform emergency response activities as needed.
• Operate various heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Assist with loading/unloading of waste and related equipment.
