Job summary

Moran Environmental Recovery is seeking an Environmental Field Laborer to work on remediation and industrial maintenance projects, ensuring strict compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements. You will follow company policies, complete field paperwork, and perform duties safely across varied environments, with possible out-of-town travel for two weeks or more.

Preferred experience includes emergency response or manual labor; a valid Class D driver’s license, ability to read

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills).
• Experience in emergency response, manual labor, general construction and/or industrial cleaning is preferred.
• A valid Class “D” Driver’s License is required.
• TWIC preferred.
• OSHA 40-HR HazWOPER & Confined Space Entry certifications are desired but not required.
• Background and substance screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork on remediation and industrial maintenance projects under supervisor.
• Complete timesheets, daily work reports, driver’s logs, and safety forms.
• Follow project scope of work, contract documents, schedules and policies.
• Work safely through all phases of job duties.
• Travel out of town for two weeks or more as needed.
• Understand and follow safety standards and reading/understanding English.
• Drive and perform safety checks on vehicles.
• May be exposed to extreme environmental conditions.
• Physical tasks include standing, walking, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Environmental Field Laborer (Field Tech) must be able to work in compliance on various remediation and industrial maintenance projects. They must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Executionoffieldworkencompassedinremediationandindustrialmaintenanceprojectswhileunder directorindirectsupervision.
• Correctcompletionofalljob-specific,employee-relatedMERpaperworkincludingTimesheets,DailyWorkReports, Driver’sLogs andDailyTailgateSafetyMeetingForms.
• Understandandworkwithinproject’sdetailedscope-of-worktomaintainstrictcompliancewithcontractdocuments,projectschedules,andcorporatepoliciesandprocedures.
• Worksafelyduringallphasesofperformingthejobdutiesrequiredinthefield.
• Abilitytoperformworkinsideareasofvaryingdimensions;involvingsquattingandcrawlingforpossibleextendedperiods.

• Maybeexposedtovarying levelsof physical activitiesandphysical extremessuch aslong periodsofstanding,walking,crouching,useofhands,andheavyliftingofupto50poundsormore.
• Must be clean shaven at all times to allow immediate donning and seal of respirator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This is an hourly position; the hiring range for the Environmental Field Technician position in Richmond, VA is: $20.00/hour - $22.00/hour

The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant skills and experience.
