Job summary

TRC, Member of WSP, is a global consulting environmental and engineering firm actively seeking an Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist for our Engineering, Construction & Remediation practice in West Allis, Wisconsin. The role supports soil, groundwater, and vapor investigations, due diligence, groundwater monitoring, remediation, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, Hydrogeology, or Geology.
• Excellent attitude and ability to work well within a team environment.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and computer skills.
• Must have a sense of urgency, be self-motivated, and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to work efficiently under multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
• Ability to manage time independently and to work effectively on a project team.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability (with training) and willingness to perform and manage field work for 50-100% of the position.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, background check and motor vehicle records check.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental assessment, investigation, remediation, and compliance related projects in the field and office.
• Perform field work including on-site reconnaissance, soil borings, soil vapor probes, and groundwater monitoring wells.
• Schedule and oversee excavation, drilling, and construction subcontractors.
• Prepare and review technical reports, graphics, feasibility studies, and design/construction documents.
• Perform data analysis and calculations and assist in database development.
• Assist management of medium-to-large, complex tasks to meet scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Assist during proposal development including work scopes and budgets.
• Travel regionally and state-wide on short and long-term assignments (50-100%).
• Collaborate with colleagues, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
