Job summary

August Mack Environmental is seeking an Entry Level Engineer in our Indianapolis, IN office. You will learn and perform field, engineering, management, and consulting tasks related to environmental data analysis, sampling, and project oversight while working under senior engineers.

The role includes field travel, collaboration with project teams, and development of reports and health & safety documents. A recent graduate or 0–2 years of experience in environmental consulting is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in environmental consulting.
• Strong computer and verbal/written communication skills are a must.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Travel to various project locations with potential longer days and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in developing remediation designs for sites with soil, groundwater, and vapor impacts.
• Lead and oversee field implementation of engineering activities and monitor compliance with design specs and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate project status, field observations, and technical information to project managers and team members.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors to support project execution, schedules, and budgets.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, work plans, health and safety documents, and other deliverables under supervision.
• Apply environmental regulations and health and safety requirements to project activities.
