Job summary

Municipal Equipment, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Equipment Road Service Mechanic in Murfreesboro, TN. The role involves service and repair of heavy equipment, with initial training at the Louisville, KY headquarters and periodic travel to factory locations for hands-on instruction.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skills, and is able to work independently while meeting safety and quality standards. CDL B is required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

Experience in troubleshooting and repair of 12-volt electrical systems.
Proficient in hydraulic systems including electric over hydraulic and air over hydraulic.
Understanding of electrical theory.
Ability to read and comprehend wiring schematics.
Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems.
High mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Fabrication, Welding, and Class 7/8 Chassis Experience is a Plus.
CDL B or higher must be obtained within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Work closely relates to heavy equipment technician duties.
Travel to various facilities for training and field service as needed.
