Job summary

The role includes policy development, audits, regulator coordination, and driving best practices in environmental programs, with 50% travel to four plant locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental (preferred) or related field (natural sciences, engineering, chemistry, or similar)
• 5+ years in Environmental with increasing responsibility leading teams
• 1-3+ years of supervisory experience preferred
• Professional environmental certifications preferred
• Experience with air, waste, water and spill regulations preferred
• Travel – 50% to 4 plant locations required

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental policies to ensure regulatory compliance
• Instruct EHS managers to ensure consistent application of policies
• Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and mitigations
• Prepare and submit environmental reports to regulatory agencies
• Monitor compliance through internal reviews and site inspections
• Educate employees on environmental regulations and best practices
• Develop environmental management systems and oversee hazardous waste disposal
• Negotiate with regulatory agencies on behalf of the company
• Stay updated on environmental science and technology developments
