Job summary

Sunde Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil/Environmental Engineer to lead the Environmental Engineering Group. The role requires guiding a multidisciplinary team on projects spanning land use, environmental review, and permitting, while applying regulatory knowledge and strong project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or closely related field.
• Minimum of 8–12 years of progressive experience in environmental and/or civil engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Minnesota, or ability to obtain Minnesota PE within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with environmental reviews and permitting processes.
• Familiarity with geology, earth science integration in engineering design.
• Experience with land use development review and permitting in Minnesota.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, geologists, and earth scientists.
• Direct environmental review preparation and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Provide technical leadership in water resources, stormwater, wetlands, and hydrology/hydraulics.
• Manage client relationships, project scopes, schedules, and budgets; prepare proposals and reports.
