Job summary

University of Kansas is seeking an Undergraduate Teaching Lab Assistant for the CEAE department to support the CE 571 Environmental Engineering Laboratory. Responsibilities include pre-class preparation, assisting students during lab sessions, and grading lab reports, with both in-class and out-of-class work.

4 hours/week on-site during class and additional prep time are expected. The role requires taking CE 571 or an equivalent course with at least a B, strong communication, and demonstrated

Qualifications

• Must have taken the specified course or equivalent class and earned at least a B.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated mastery of course content.
• Requires physical presence in the course (approx. 4 hours/week during class hours) and may demand approx. 4 hours/week outside of class.

Responsibilities

• Interact with students during class to guide laboratory work.
• Prepare materials, equipment setup and testing for weekly experiments.
• Grade lab reports.
