Job summary

PCA, a Fortune 500 company, invites applications for an Environmental Engineering Co-op. The role involves site visits to mill and box plant locations to assist with environmental surveys and audits, collecting and analyzing environmental samples, and maintaining SOPs.

You will support regulatory compliance and collaborate with staff to ensure safe, efficient operations. Starting salary is $25-$30/hour with 75% travel.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0/4.0 minimum.
• Permanent U.S. resident with a valid driver’s license.
• Must be majoring in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or related field and have completed freshman year or will have completed freshman year at time of co-op.

Responsibilities

• Site visits to mill and box plant locations to assist with environmental surveys and audits.
• Collect, analyze, and manage environmental samples including wastewater, stormwater, and other process areas. Maintain laboratory equipment and update or create SOPs as needed.
• Maintain and improve environmental records and documentation systems.
• Participate in environmental engineering projects related to wastewater treatment, landfill operations, residuals management, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with environmental corporate and site staff to help ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operations.
• Additional duties as requested by management.
