Job summary

HDR is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our employee-owned team in Michigan. You will perform complex environmental remediation design and implementation on mid-size projects and collaborate with clients and communities to deliver cost-effective, sustainable solutions.

You will design and evaluate engineering approaches, make key decisions, and may act as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager while supervising a small team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related field
• Experience designing and creating plans and specifications for environmental engineering projects
• Professional Engineer license (PE or P.Eng) recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

• Perform complex environmental remediation design and implementation assignments
• Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
• Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed
• Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians as needed
