Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate environmental permit applications, reports, and facility designs
- Develop permits and action plans based on environmental regulations
- Participate in site visits, data collection, inspections, and investigations
- Provide technical assistance to the regulated community and the public
- Assist in preparing environmental guidance documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering
- Level 1: 0-2 years\' experience; Level 2: 2 years\' experience; Level 3: 5 years\' experience
- Engineer in Training/Fundamentals in Engineering certification required for Level 3
- Possession of a current, valid state-issued driver\'s license
- Knowledge of State and Federal environmental regulations pertaining to air quality
Preferred Qualifications
- Master\'s or Doctorate degree may substitute for 2 years of experience for Level 2
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to summarize tasks and recommendations effectively
