Job summary

WSP in Shelton, Connecticut is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our Earth & Environment Team. You will support environmental projects including site remediation, due diligence, and environmental permitting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver practical, sustainable solutions.

You will perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, investigations, and remediation fieldwork, and contribute to reports, cost estimates, and client presentations while adhering to health

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical, Civil or related discipline.
  • EIT certification and experience with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local EHS regulations and permitting requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, data interpretation and report writing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for environmental projects including investigation, remediation, and permitting.
  • Perform Phase I ESAs, site investigations and remediation fieldwork.
  • Design subsurface investigations and oversee drilling, logging and sampling.
  • Collect and evaluate environmental data from various media.
  • Prepare calculations, figures and visuals for review and client presentations.
  • Author technical reports and remedial action work plans.
  • Support proposals, business development, and client communications.
