WSP is seeking an Experienced Environmental Engineer in Portland, Maine, with 3–5 years of experience to contribute to environmental remediation, including remedial design of treatment systems, report preparation, and permitting support.

You will join a large, diverse team of design engineers to prepare work plans, design drawings, cost estimates, and construction submittals, while mentoring staff and supporting field activities across water, soil, and air projects.

Formación

• BS in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of engineering/consulting experience with a focus on remedial design including water treatment, soil vapor extraction and treatment, in-situ remediation.
• Engineer in Training Certification is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated professional judgment, critical thinking, problem solving skills and time management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare work plans, sampling and analysis plans, feasibility studies, and remedial action plans.
• Prepare environmental permit applications (e.g., air permitting, wastewater discharge permitting, etc.).
• Prepare CERCLA and or RCRA engineering evaluations, feasibility studies, treatment systems designs, and develop cost estimates.
• Prepare engineering evaluations, feasibility studies, treatment system designs, and develop cost estimates.
• Prepare and/or review design drawings and specifications.
• Review and comment on contractor submittals.
• Track subcontractor payment applications, requests for information, change order requests and general construction phase submittals.
• Assist with mentorship and growth of staff.

BS in Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering

Engineer in Training Certification
