Project Lead – Environmental Remediation
Location: Baltimore, MD (near Dundalk)
Salary: $100,000-$150,000 + Annual Bonus Potential
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, Life, 401k w/ matching, PTO, Holidays
Job Type: Full-Time
Typical hours: M-F, 8 AM – 5 PM (40-45 hours)
Start Date: ASAP
Travel: Weekly around Baltimore (company truck provided while onsite)

Project Lead – Remediation (civil engineering/geology/environmental sciences) Description

Our client is looking for a seasoned, well-rounded environmental professional to lead their remediation projects across their company in Baltimore, MD. In this critical role, you will be responsible for meticulously tracking all remediation activities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and project timelines. You will oversee full-time contractors (5), ensuring that their work aligns with safety and quality standards while facilitating successful project delivery. To be chosen for this role, you must have a strong blend of technical knowledge with a people-focused, collaborative approach to project management. Someone who understands how to manage resources while providing strong mentorship and communication to their team. Responsibilities

  1. Oversee a team of consultants (5) including resource allocation
  2. Evaluate reports on environmental assessments and project needs
  3. Manage the installation and setup of remediation systems
  4. Oversee the operation, compliance, and maintenance of systems
  5. Procure materials and chemicals for projects
  6. Estimate costs for environmental liabilities
  7. Analyze data and prepare proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports
  8. Develop budget estimates and work scopes for engineering tasks
  9. Communicate with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders
  10. Participate in field visits to ensure productivity and quality standards

Qualifications

  1. Strong background with site assessments required
  2. Well-versed managing environmental remediation projects required
  3. Desire to lead and mentor staff while overseeing project deliverables required
  4. Advanced knowledge of CERCLA and RCRA required
  5. Able to work onsite in Baltimore required
