GHD's U.S. West Mining Team seeks a motivated Project Manager to support planning, execution, and delivery of legacy mine reclamation and remediation projects.

This role targets a technically skilled professional with about five years of industry experience transitioning into project management. You will coordinate activities, support client communications, manage schedules and budgets, and help deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, Geotechnical, Environmental, or Mining Engineering, or related field.
• About 5+ years of technical experience in environmental remediation.
• Experience with report writing, data management and interpretation, and client coordination.
• Project budgeting exposure and ability to manage budgets.
• Understanding of project management principles.

GHD's U.S West Mining Team is seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our Mining Team and support the planning, execution, and delivery of legacy mine reclamation and remediation projects. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with approximately five years of industry experience who is ready to transition into project management. Working under the guidance of senior project managers, the successful candidate will coordinate project activities, support client communications, manage schedules and budgets, and help deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

What you will bring to the team:

• Demonstrated experience in leading environmental field data collection, soil & groundwater investigations, and technical report preparation programs.
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk with a structured approach.
• Strong coordination skills across field/office resources, and multi-disciplinary technical teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing and managing recurring reporting deliverables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, Geotechnical, Environmental, or Mining Engineering, or related field Approximately 5+ years of technical experience in environmental remediation and site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients.
• Project management experience is required beyond day-to-day task management (e.g., defining project scope/objectives, establishing and monitoring budgets, allocating resources, anticipating/mitigating risks).
• Understanding of project management principles and methodologies requiredDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines required.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
• Prior experience coordinating projects, task teams, and technical work packages requiredExposure to project budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, or client management preferredExposure to project management systems such as project accounting software (e.g., BST, Deltek, etc.), MS Project, and/or Primavera P6 preferred, Experience in remediation and reclamation of legacy mine sites preferred.CERCLA, RCRA, and/or state-led remediation program experience a plus.OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification desired MSHA 24-hour New Miner training desired, but not requiredAbility and willingness to travel to client meetings is required PE a plus, but not required.
