Responsibilities

Assists in directing and performing investigations and environmental and engineering analyses for environmental documents.
Develops recommendations for engineering/environmental design changes to minimize environmental impact of DOTD projects.
Coordinates environmental work within the Department and with other agencies.
Advises others in environmental laws, rules and regulations.
Reviews proposals and invoices from consulting firms for factual accuracy and completeness.
Provides technical guidance to engineering technicians on environmental issues related to highway projects.
