Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an engineer to join the Water Services Group, contributing to detailed process design for water facilities and supporting projects nationwide. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and regulatory compliance.

The role involves site visits, design reviews, and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities to represent the firm at conferences. Domestic/international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 years of related experience; travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed process design plans for water, water reuse, and wastewater facilities.
• Provide construction support: submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits, and CM services.
• Conduct master planning, conceptual design, and plant hydraulics.
• Review designs/reports for compliance with fed/state/local regulations.
• Perform site reviews to align designs with location specs and update requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff.
