Job summary

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is seeking engineers to lead and manage remediation projects within the Remediation Division. You will oversee contracts, budgets, and schedules while ensuring compliance with Superfund requirements and agency guidelines.

The role offers opportunities to contribute to critical environmental cleanup efforts, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and advance through a career ladder from Engineer I to Engineer V based on licensure and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with remediation systems, design, hardware, and operation.
• Familiarity with Superfund statutes and regulations.
• Experience managing projects, work orders, contracts, and budgets.
• Ability to work with technical and regulatory remediation materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex environmental projects per Superfund guidelines to protect health and environment.
• Oversee high-profile contracts and work orders to achieve corrective action.
• Direct scope, schedule, and budget for remediation efforts.
• Support Superfund program with diverse technical and administrative tasks.
• Perform timely invoice reviews ensuring fiscal accountability.
• Represent TCEQ with internal teams, public, contractors and partners.
• Maintain organized project files and accurate databases.
