Job summary

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC seeks an Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Specialist to support Army Environmental Restoration programs at Fort Bragg. You will coordinate technical requirements and provide compliance-focused environmental program support.

The role involves working with federal, state, and local agencies, handling permits, waste management, and field activities, and contributing to documentation and reviews. On-site duties at Fayetteville, NC are expected.

Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations and guidance.
  • Understanding of firm-fixed price and performance-based contracts.
  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card for Installation and computer network access.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as single point of contact for technical coordination of project requirements at Fort Bragg (Fayetteville, NC).
  • Provide environmental program technical support to help Army Environmental meet their Compliance Cleanup, Installation Restoration, MMPR, and UST/AST programs goals.
  • Ensure activities comply with CERCLA and RCRA and state/local/federal regulations.
  • Assist Government with coordinating efforts with federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Provide technical assistance with permit renewals, investigation derived waste management, and field activities.
  • Provide document review support.
  • Assist Installation in monitoring progress and financial status of restoration programs.
  • Support and facilitate environmental meetings.
  • Provide support to community group meetings (Restoration Advisory Board, public involvement).
  • Maintain/upload official records to Army Permanent Document Repository and Administrative Record.
  • Participate in Installation Action Plan Review, Land Use Control Review, and Cost-to-Complete and Five-Year review processes.

Job description

SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC is seeking an Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Specialist to provide technical and program support to address the requirements of the Army Environmental Restoration Program. Support will include aspects of the Army Environmental Restoration Program such as the Installation Restoration (IR) Program, Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP), and Compliance Clean-up (CC) related remediation programs.

What You'll Do:
  • Serve as single point of contact for technical coordination of project requirements at Fort Bragg (Fayetteville, NC)
  • Provide environmental program technical support to help Army Environmental meet their Compliance Cleanup, Installation Restoration, Military Munitions Response Program, and Underground Storage Tanks/Above Storage Tanks (UST/AST) programs goals
  • Ensure that activities are compliant with CERCLA and RCRA and state/local or other federal regulations
  • Assist Government with coordinating efforts with representatives of federal, state, and local agencies
  • Provide technical assistance with permit renewals, investigation derived waste management, and field activities
  • Provide document review support
  • Assist the Installation in monitoring technical progress and financial status of each restoration program
  • Support and facilitate environmental meetings
  • Provide support to community group meetings such as Restoration Advisory Board and public involvement support

What You Bring:
Required:
  • BS degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or Related Field
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regulations and guidance
  • Understanding of firm-fixed price and performance-based contracts
  • Ability to obtain a Common Access Card for Installation and computer network access.
Preferred:
  • Five years of experience performing environmental restoration technical support preferred
  • Cost estimating experience preferred
