Job summary

Express Employment is hiring an Engineer in Jackson, MS to join our environmental team on a direct hire basis. You will plan, conduct, and oversee environmental assessments, site investigations, and remediation activities while coordinating with project managers and clients.

Responsibilities include collecting field data, analyzing samples, preparing technical reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, or another environmental field (environmental science, hydrology, or similar)
• Experience in environmental consulting or a closely related field
• Strong technical writing and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a project team
• Willingness to perform field work and travel to project sites as needed
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and oversee environmental assessments, site investigations, and remediation activities
• Collect and evaluate field data, including soil, groundwater, and other environmental samples
• Analyze analytical and survey data and interpret results
• Prepare technical reports, work plans, and regulatory submittals
• Work with project managers, clients, and regulators to keep projects on schedule and in compliance
• Support project budgeting, scheduling, and client communication
• Mentor junior staff as experience allows
