Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Professional to assist with the management and oversight of the Pittsboro Mill Environmental Programs, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local rules and permit requirements.

You will help develop sustainability and decarbonization goals, interact with regulatory agencies and consultants, and support permit documentation and reporting efforts across multiple environmental programs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Environmental Health.
• 0–5 years of experience in environmental field, preferably industrial or regulatory.
• Extensive knowledge of Excel spreadsheet programming.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management and oversight of SDI Pittsboro environmental programs to ensure compliance with all rules and permit requirements.
• Assist with development and implementation of sustainability and decarbonization goals.
• Interact with regulatory agencies and consultants as required.
• Assist in documenting compliance with regulatory and permit requirements.
• Prepare regulatory and permit recordkeeping, including data collection for Title V, SARA, RCRA, EMITS, and NSPS reporting.
• Provide guidance and training to team members to meet environmental requirements.
