Job summary

JMJ Phillip is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to support environmental compliance, permitting, and EHS initiatives within a manufacturing setting in Peachtree City, GA.

The role requires a calm, organized professional who can manage multiple projects, communicate across teams, and drive continuous improvement using Lean, 5-S, and Six Sigma methodologies. A Bachelor's in a related field and 3–5 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of environmental responsibilities in manufacturing or consulting.
• Working knowledge of environmental compliance and EHS management systems.
• Lean Thinking, 5-S, and Six Sigma knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain environmental and EHS management systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, permits, and internal requirements.
• Monitor environmental performance and seek improvements.
• Maintain accurate environmental documentation and reports.
• Lead by example in compliance and integrity.
• Coordinate stormwater sampling and monitoring.
• Investigate concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Support permitting, submissions, inspections and audits.
• Apply Lean, 5-S, and Six Sigma to environmental processes.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering and others.
• Manage multiple tasks and field inspections.
• Support projects for facility construction and operations.
