Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks an Environmental Engineer to support Compliance/Air Programs at our Bastrop, TX site. You will work with the environmental lead on chemical inventory and air emissions tracking to ensure EPCRA and air quality compliance in a high-throughput manufacturing environment.

You will help design, implement, and maintain records and processes that keep inventory and emissions current, drive audits, and support timely Tier II, TRI, and air permit submissions.

Responsibilities

  • Own and operate continuous assessments for hazardous chemical inventory tracking across a mass manufacturing site.
  • Use inventory outputs to prepare Tier II and TRI filings on schedule; archive calculations and submission packages.
  • Improve or develop inventory tracking tools, workflows, and compliance calendars so EPCRA data stays complete and current throughout the year.
  • Perform internal audits focused on inventory integrity, emissions data completeness, and recordkeeping gaps; drive corrective actions with manufacturing stakeholders.
  • Own and operate continuous emissions and activity tracking of emission sources in a mass manufacturing setting (i.e. process units, coating/painting, combustion equipment, tanks, fugitives, and other site sources).
  • Use that information to maintain throughput, operating hours, material usage, operating parameters, and monitoring data as production varies.
  • Own area emission unit inventories and source-level tracking on current or incoming equipment, and track changes when equipment is modified or production changes occur.

ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER, COMPLIANCE/AIR PROGRAMS

This rolewillwork with the environmental leadincontinuous chemical inventory and air emissions tracking systems that underpin EPCRA and air quality compliance at the company’s Bastrop, TX site—a high-throughput mass manufacturing environment. The engineerwillwork in a cross functional environment tocontribute todesigns,help developoperationalplans, andmaintainrecords that keep inventory and emissions current through changing production rates, material streams, and equipment configurations,ensuring thatTier II, TRI, and air permit reports are complete, accurate, andaudit ready.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own and operate continuousassessments forhazardous chemical inventory tracking across a mass manufacturing site: receipts, line/process usage, storage quantities, max on-site amounts, average daily amounts, and container counts by location
  • Use continuous inventory outputs to prepare, quality-check, and submit Tier II and TRI filings on schedule; archive calculations and submission packages
  • Improve or developinventory tracking tools, workflows, and compliance calendars so EPCRA data stays complete and current throughout the year despite productionchangesand materials churn
  • Perform internal audits focused on inventory integrity, emissions data completeness, and recordkeeping gaps; drive corrective actions with manufacturing stakeholders
  • Own and operate continuous emissions and activity tracking of emission sources in a massmanufacturingsetting(i.e.process units, coating/painting, combustion equipment, tanks, fugitives, and other site sources). Including rolling this informationapplicable reports such asannualemission fees
  • Use that information tomaintain throughput, operating hours, material usage, operating parameters, and monitoring dataas required and asproduction volume and schedules vary
  • Ownareaemission unit inventories and source-level trackingoncurrent or incomingequipment,and keep track of when equipment ismodified, decommissioned, and/orwhen production rates, product mix, or process recipes change
