Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) seeks an Environmental / Energy Manager (EEM) to lead environmental, energy, and sustainability programs for contract operations at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, CA.

You will ensure EMS compliance, support the Installation Energy Plan, and drive improvements in environmental performance, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with site personnel and government representatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience with environmental procedures.
• Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems (EMS).
• Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations, incl. CA requirements.
• Knowledge of federal energy laws, water reduction and renewable energy requirements.
• CEM certification preferred; bachelor degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage environmental, energy, and sustainability programs for contract operations.
• Ensure EMS compliance and support Installation Energy Plan implementation.
• Develop and monitor policies that promote sustainable development and contract compliance.
• Review activities to identify environmental, energy, and water performance improvements.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and coordinate with site personnel and government reps.
• Provide guidance on environmental and energy requirements to employees.
• Support reporting, audits, and other government requests related to environmental performance.
• Maintain documentation and reporting related to environmental and energy performance.
