Job summary

Ponder Environmental Services in California seeks an experienced Environmental Emergency Response Supervisor to lead field crews, oversee emergency operations, and ensure safe, efficient project execution. You will supervise personnel, operate and maintain field equipment, ensure safety procedures, and coordinate with clients, dispatch, and operations in a fast-paced environment.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, 5+ years in emergency response or related field, and a current 40-hour HAZWOPER

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of related experience in emergency response or environmental services.
• Experience with respiratory protection equipment and hazardous waste site cleanup.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor field personnel.
• Lead emergency response and cleanup operations.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment, field gear, pumps, and other specialized equipment.
• Troubleshoot and perform equipment repairs.
• Complete company and customer documentation accurately.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed; report incidents promptly.
• Maintain communication with clients, dispatch, and operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
