Job summary

Geneva Park District in Geneva, IL is seeking an Entry Level Part-Time Program Assistant at Peck Farm Park. You will assist with and lead classes and programs; handle general office duties; assist with exhibits and maintenance of facilities.

Evening and weekend hours are required. You will engage with visitors of all ages, teach environmental education, interpret natural and cultural history, and support special events and park operations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience leading youth programs.
• Experience in park settings and planning non-formal education programs.
• Familiarity with interpretation concepts and environmental education basics.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and lead interpretative programs focused on environmental education for all ages.
• Understand and share Peck Farm Park's resources with visitors.
• Maintain displays and exhibits for the Nature Discovery, Hawks Hollow and History Rooms; assist with facilities upkeep.
• General office duties as required.
