Job summary

Geneva Park District's Peck Farm Park in Geneva, IL is seeking a Program Assistant (Part Time) to support and lead environmental education programs for visitors of all ages. Under the supervision of park managers, you will help with exhibits, office duties, and special events while gaining hands-on experience in recreation programming.

Qualifications

1-3 years' experience leading youth programs.
Experience working in park settings and planning non-formal education programs.
Familiarity with the principles and techniques of interpretation and with environmental education curricula.
Experience in public relations and office work.

Responsibilities

Assist with and lead interpretative programs at Peck Farm Park with an emphasis in environmental education, natural and cultural history, for individuals and groups of all ages, including families, scout groups, school groups, preschoolers, and birthday party groups.
Maintain displays and exhibits for the Nature Discovery, Hawks Hollow and History Rooms. General maintenance of the Peck House and park grounds as needed.
General office duties as required.
Assist with Special Events as needed.
